It is a common misconception, that van insurance covers the goods carried in the vehicle. This is not the case. Whilst many vehicle insurances will provide a small amount of personal posessions cover, it is necessary to cover goods and tools under a seperate insurance more specifically designed for the purpose. These are not expensive policies and are dependent on the value and nature of the goods carried, the distances travelled, and the pattern of travel.
